We have a lot of grey and rainy days here...especially since I'm on the coast. I always say we have two seasons...warm rain and cold rain! It rarely even hits 80 here. I don't like it and I'm not from here originally. I've lived all over the United States and definitely prefer the warmer climates. I lived in Warminster (a suburb outside of Philly) in 1975 and 76. I think my favorite places to live are Texas and Hawaii. We moved up here because of hubby job and I can't wait until he retires. My plan is to move to Santa Fe, NM. I absolutely LOVE it there, but I've only been there on vacations.
It took me awhile to figure this site out. I don't belong to anything like it and it was so confusing to me at first. But now that I know my way around I'm having lots of fun meeting others. Do you have any guilds or classes in your area? I always feel like I'm missing out by not having a guild to belong to, but this is the next best thing.
My icon is a quilt I made for a contest. I love color and the color wheel, so I thought it would make a good icon. Thanks for the compliment!
It's nice meeting you and I hope to get to know you better!

Happy birthday, Wendy!
I live in Seaside, Oregon and I've been quilting for about 6 years. I'm in a small town without any guilds, sewing groups or classes so I had to teach myself how to quilt. I joined this site so I could meet other quilters. Everyone I've met has been so friendly and helpful! I hope you'll enjoy it here as much as I do!
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and happy birthday!
