Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
is anybody starting to work on Fall and/or Halloween quilts? I found this really simple pattern on Pinterest and I just couldn't stand NOT to make it. Five inch squares with 3.5 inch circles hand…Continue
Oh my! Great books, I read the whole series on a cruise this past January. I downloaded the first one, Hunger Games on my Kindle to take on the trip, a cruise from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean. I…Continue
The Mid-Atlantic Quilt Fest was a smashing success even though we forgot about the quilt budget and went over. We just couldn't help it, so many pretty things! Lots and lots of batiks and lovely kits. I had a great time and taking the Cottonwood bus over was wonderful, didn't have to drive (or buy gas). It was a great day!
So I have completed my first New York Beauty, I'll post pictures tomorrow. So, let's review, what did we learn? We learned that concave is easier than convex. I'm going to try a 9 inch block next time instead of a 6 inch block, maybe bigger will be easier. And the other thing I learned? Off to the MId-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton Roads, VA next week. I haven't…Continue

So, anyway, I sometimes just can't get the creativity flowing and I just kind of sit and stare at the sewing…Continue
