- RN working full time that recently became an empty nester, which gives me more time to indulge in my passion: sewing and quilting. I love to make purses, totes, and quilts. I live in Ohio with my 2 "boys"; West Highland Terriers named Tucker and Mickey.

- 7 quilts; purses and totes, too many to count!
- Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
- both! I use my quilts!

- started in early to mid '90s
- What is your favorite quilting technique?
- I love piecing, using colors to bring the pattern to life
- Why do you quilt?
- it's my therapy. Nursing is stressful!

Hello quilters! As I said the other day in my post, I have just completed my bachelor's degree in nursing after starting in the field in 1979. After getting my associate's degree in 1981, I was in the process of getting my BSN when I became pregnant with my first child in 1988. I have spent the better part of the last 2 years taking both online and traditional classes. There is such a weight now lifted off my shoulders!! On my days off, I actually have nothing to do!! Whew! It has been a long while since I have poked around this site and posted. I have been busy; making 3 quilts in the past 3 months- a record for me. 1 was raffled off at work this week and happily won by one of my good friends. She really hoped she would win it and I'm so glad she did. The other 2 are wrapped and under the tree. I can't wait to see the faces of my parents and daughter when she opens them. Hi, nice to hear from you. Boy you sure are a busy person. You have soooo much going on I cann't even keep up with you. Do you have enough time in the day to deep track of everything?! What are you taking in school? I wish I could go back but I am having enough trouble just trying to keep up with the on-line course I'm taking. I'm taking a Hawaiian Quilt Course at Quilt University. It's fast going. But I like it and I'm learning alote.
Do you think you'll get everything done in time? I hope you do. Right now I want to finish my Hawaiian and hang it up over my fireplace in the living room.

- Hi, happy to hear you had a great time and the measurement worked for you. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll make up a little pattern for it to practice on and then I'll get it stated, it should be great to finish. I do the binding by machine. How do you do it? Hand or machine? I wasn't that good with my hand sewing but now that I am sewing by hand I have gotten better.
I guess I'll sign off before I talk your ear off, write when you can.

- Hi, how was your trip? hope all is good. I posted three pic, two quilts and a pic of myself. Not a really good one of myself but really the only goodone of myself. When I get a better one I'll post it. Any way the one of Gone Fishing I need your help. I need some suggestion for what to quilt on the two boarders, blocks and outer boarder. Any and all suggetions are greatful. I also asked Bridget for some. So with two suggestions I can maybe finish it for my husaband and he will be a happy camper. I know you work so get back to me when you can.
