Thanks, Linda for your support, but I'm too busy making quilts to write a book just yet. I'm hoping to really do one after I finish the last quilt in the series which should be in about 8 years! Happy new year to you too! Hope it's filled with lots of quilting!!

HA HA HA!! Thanks!! I was thrilled to win in Houston! That quilt was number 9, and I am busy quilting number 10. I'm hoping to have it finished by the first of the year. Numbers 11 and 12 are swirling around in my head as we speak! Stay tuned.....!!!

Linda, you will enjoy Kerrville if you do decide to retire there.  We lived there from 1984 to 1988.  Creations is a nice shop.  I didn't quilt at that time, but I did go in that shop once to see about taking quilt lessons.  My kids were all young at that time though so I never learned to quilt until I moved back to Austin.  I miss living in TX.  I did not like living in Las Vegas, but I still have 2 sons & 4 grandies there as well as lots of friends.  There is a tiny quilt shop here in Boonville now, but I prefer to shop at Satin Stitches in Columbia.

Hi Linda.  I sincerely apologize for the delay in responding to your message.  I have been busy & have been forgetting to check this forum for the past several weeks.  Wow, you were born in Boonville?  My dh & I moved here at the end of Dec in '08.  I grew up in a small town outside Grand Rapids, MI, then I moved to Austin TX in 1977.  I lived there as well as Kerrville TX for 17 yrs and then moved to Las Vegas in 1994.  I lived there until we moved here.  What a small world!

Thanks again, Linda! It was quite a thrill to win Best Machine Quilting and an Honorable Mention. I'm busy working on the 10th quilt in the series and I have 2 quilts in Houston this year. They've already called to tell me I've won a prize with one of my quilts. I'm soooo excited!! Wish me luck! Janet

Hi Linda!  You know, I just now saw the post you sent to me in June...I never saw it.  You know what happened?  I had downloaded Internet Explorer 9 and it's not compatible with this site, so my comment section as well as e-mail section wasn't working.  I could post messages to the groups, but I couldn't send notes to anyone.  I'm glad you wrote the other day!

I got my machine back and I'm so glad they were able to fix the problem.  It's been ages since I've sewn anything, so today I plan on working on a project.  I've been reading a lot instead of sewing, so now I want to turn that back around.  And I never did get the fabric organized.  I'm going to work on something I already started (a small project) and then I think I want to start fresh with something new.  That should get me going.

So, how are you doing?  Is your company still there?  Write when you can!
