"Mary, sure do hope you all stay safe! I still remember when my brother and his family had to evacuate when fires were near them. You could see the burnt area from their back porch, but their house wasn't touched. Stay safe!!!"
"Finished these placemats for my table. Used leftovers from 5 other projects.
Also finished this quilt for my first great grandson:
Family reunion this weekend, so no quilting time, but I have a French Braid quilt started as my…"
"Riana - ask and thou shalt receive! Not the whole quilt, but one of my favorite squares from it. This quilt lives on my brother's bed ( the one that is adopting the baby grandson) during the winter, and one our mom made for him is…"
"Linda, I'm used to driving over there. A good friend used to live in Gilbert - even farther than Mesa - and one daughter lives in Chandler right now, so driving won't be a problem. I'll pick you up and take you to my…"
"Linda - I'm in AZ, too. Been here 18 years now. We have a house in Laveen, at the west end of Baseline. I really, really love this area. Where are you looking to buy? Let me know when you are settled, maybe we can…"
"Linda, we live in the Phoenix area. In Ohio we lived near Dayton. We go back to visit kids and grandkids who live in Celina. I don't mind visiting, but I'm glad I don't have to live there anymore! I have one…"
"Barbara, thanks but no thanks on moving to Wisconsin! I left Ohio 17 years ago in search of light and heat and am totally content here in Arizona. Sounds like you enjoy the weather you have, though, and I'm glad for you."
"Also finished and mailed off my daughter's red and white Ohio Star quilt. Used extras from the charm packs for the back. Now I need to focus on my brother's Sangria quilt, and get back to the Splendid Sampler blocks."
Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
Mother and grandmother, manager at Olive Garden, sewer, knitter, crocheter and quilter. Learning to free motion quilt now. Working on a Judy Neimeyer Mariner's Compass quilt (that I probably will not quilt myself) and a Bali Jewels quilt that I am going to quilt myself.
How many quilts have you made?
8? 9? 10? I've lost track.
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
I am making quilts, and I'm enjoying seeing pictures of other quilter's quilts.
