Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
I live in Saginaw, Michigan. I have a Facebook page, too if you are interested.
I was born and raised on a West Branch, Michigan dairy farm. In fact, I was the last fifty dollar baby born in Ogemaw County. Ya, that was a while ago. My favorite thing was teaching the new born calves how to drink milk out of a pail. I still miss that and it still makes me smile.
How many quilts have you made?
I've only made a couple, so far...
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
How long have you been a quilter?
I really started this year (2011). Last Christmas my younger sister told me she had something of mine. I really could not figure out what she could have of mine. Then she brought out my baby blanket or least what was left of it after 56 years. Yes, I finally felt like I should be making quilts for those that are special to me. Thank-you sis.
What is your favorite quilting technique?
At this point I don't have a favorite quilting technique. I am just learning. The last thing I learned was how to miter corners. Wow! This really makes a big difference in the looks of my quilts.
Why do you quilt?
Because I want to leave something behind for my grandchildren to snuggle them in good and bad times that life brings all of us.
