Hello quilters, I live in New Zealand and am a keen quilter. I am hoping to be able to visit the USA sometime this year ( or depending on various things maybe next) and I wonder what do you think…Continue

Your quilts are beautiful!
Thanks for the comment. Your work is also beautiful. I enjoy seeing the many different patterns and the different quilts made by the many talented quilters.
We Are truly Blessed to have such a Great Gift. As I always say spread the needles!
Thank you Jeanette, it is nice to be welcomed. Your quilts are lovely and the colors are great. Are those your Grand kids on the porch? Cute kids.
Sounds like you had some nice experiences in Alaska. We love it here, well lets just say winters are getting harder to put up with but we do enjoy Alaska's beauty.
Thanks again,
Cynthia
I have to tell you I have never heard of bamboo batting, so tell me about it, is it very course or really soft? I usually use warm and natural batting as it is light weight and very warm. My grandkids love getting a quilt with this for batting. I usually send my quilts out to a long arm quilter. I know I would mess them up if I tried to quilt them myself. :) There is too much work in them to be messed up by my attempts at quilting.
Thank you for friending me, I think I am going to like this web site.
I have never ordered anything on line. I know alot of people do but I just have a problem putting my information out there in the wide open spaces no matter how secure they say there web sites are. So what kind of office job do you have, I was the program director for a domestic violence program for 5 years and it was a horrible burn out job, just left a person wilted. So I totally understand the lack of energy when you get home.
Jeanette, I am a 60+ quilter too. I love your quilts and the colors are wonderful. I live in Montana USA and only get to quilt in the winter. Never enough time for all the quilts I would love to make. We live on a ranch 30 miles from the nearest town. The nearest quilt shop is 90 miles if I go across country. Happy quilting
Welcome to this wonderful sight Jeanette. I'm happy to be your first friend here. I have been very inspired by some of the wonderful work that I have seen in the gallery. I also like how I have made new quilting friends from around the world on here. I have been having fun learning about where my friends live and talking about quilting as well.
