"I enjoy the group and seeing what others are making. Beth -- even if you don't find the time to do up a chart the fact that I write it down here for others to see makes me accountable. I would like to continue."
"Hadn't thought of clam shells but that's an idea. Thank you, Mary. I have another embroidery package of outlined cats and I was thinking of making each one of those a block. I also have some block patterns that I've…"
"I don't know where I picked up the fabric in the middle. I just loved it and had to have it. This pattern originated from an old magazine (1986?) that I have kept because "I'm going to make that quilt some day." …"

Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
I am a writer, quilter, seamstress, and knitter. I live in the north but am fortunate to have two of my four children living in the south. I must confess though, I love winter. Skiing, skating, sledding, you name it. I hope to do the luge some day in western Michigan.
How many quilts have you made?
have lost count
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
Definitely want to make. Am working on three right now.
How long have you been a quilter?
since the late '70's
What is your favorite quilting technique?
machine piecing, particularly scraps
Why do you quilt?
I love taking pieces and making them into a whole. Watching how colors work together (and sometimes not).
Hi Jan, I'm not sure where Fowlerville is. I grew up in Detroit. I have a brother who lives in Holly and a brother and sister in Macomb. Michigan is a beautiful state. I have a cousin in Stevenville and an aunt in Benton Harbor. Maybe we will cross paths some day.
