Hi Elaine!  I'm Bridget and I live in Seaside, Oregon.  I joined this site at the end of April because I'm in a small town without any guilds, quilting groups or classes and I was tired of being a lone quilter.  So I came here in hopes of meeting others.  I joined several of the groups and everyone is so friendly and helpful!

I too quilt for charity.  The ones I donate the most to are Quilts for Kids and the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (raising money for alzheimer's research).  I only quilt for legitimate (501c) organizations because I was burned in the past...sending many, many quilts to a woman who ended up selling them on e-bay.  I learned my lesson the hard way!  But there are a lot of good organizations out there.  Many here quilt for Quilts of Valor and Project Linus is popular too.  One woman I know quilts for the Ronald McDonald House, but there isn't a chapter in my area.  I made quilts for all of my family members and wanted to keep quilting, and that's what started me on making quilts to donate.

Well, I just wanted to say hello and welcome!  I hope you'll enjoy it here as much as I do!
