I have a Baby Lock Quilter's Choice Professional and a Grace Frame.  I never use the frame either and I just HAD to have it.  I wish I had never bought it.  I practiced a lot and got pretty good with the quilting; it's the loading I have a hard time with.  I'd rather sit to quilt anyway.  Now I wish I had the sit-down HQ16.

I sell many of my quilts to support my quilting hobby.  I've had numerous hobbies over the years, but quilting is the most expensive of all!  I have a huge stash and still crave new fabric!  I guess that's pretty common.  I'm in a really small town, so I do the majority of my fabric shopping on-line.  My current favorite is Fabric Shack.  They have great prices and great sales too.

I'm not familiar with the machines you one of them specifically for embroidery?  I don't want an embroidery machine...I figured I'd end up going crazy buying thread!  I'd rather have that HQ16!

I promised myself that I'd never have UFO's...that I'd finish everything I started.  Well, that lasted about a year.  Now I have a few tops that need quilting, but I've lost to mood to work on those quilts.  I keep thinking that someday I'll do them.  One of them I made a long time ago and it's a total beginner pattern, so I thought about trying to quilt it on my frame.  That way I won't be too upset if I mess it up!

I hope your mom is recouperating well!

Thanks for writing back!  Bridget

Hi Dee!  I've been here for several weeks now and I'm really enjoying it.  This is my first "social networking" site and it's a lot of fun.  I don't do facebook or blog or anything else, so this is great for me.

I've been quilting for almost 6 years and have made lots of quilts.  I retired when I was 45 (I'm almost 50 now), and that's when I picked up quilting.  I never knew how to sew before that.

Do you plan on joining any groups?  They still seem kind of quiet considering there are over 2000 members here!  But I guess this is a new site and it takes time to really get the ball rolling.  I joined traditional quilts, scrappy quilts, piecing, machine quilting and a few others.  I also started a group for newbies.

Well, I just wanted to say hello!
