"A lovely piece.This method intrigues me, as l'm getting more nd more drawn to thread painting and the like. Do you use a hoop under the machine or stabilize and hold using fingers to keep flat?"

The cats are based on a needlepoint by Patt and Lee Designs. I paper pieced the cats separately and then appliqued them to the background.

- Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
- I love to make things, especially with fabric and beads. During the day I work with Native students and their families and have been learning much about Native arts as well. I get lots of inspiration from the Pacific Northwest where I live (almost all my quilts are nature-inspired), and from the cultures I work with.
- How many quilts have you made?
- Best guess - 60? (mostly wall hanging size)
- Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
- Both!

- 20 years
- What is your favorite quilting technique?
- Currently it's paper piecing.
- Why do you quilt?
- For the joy of creating. It's a compulsion to craft art of some kind.

- tho i have seen a couple of your quilts as you posted them i don't think i have ever done a full "tour" of you gallery here at mqp. i don't know why. but that is cha ging tonight. your pp wildflowers, your jewelry quilts are all beautiful & amazing. pass theu salem few times a year to & from norcalifornia where fil lives.
