I noticed a discussion on wool batting in some of the groups here. I use Legacy 100% thermal bonded wool batting in all hand quilted projects and most of my machine quilted projects for its breathability and ease of use. There is nothing better to work with or to sleep under.

Super washed wool does not shrink. Fabrics will shrink 3% if not washed prior to use.

Catherine, Legacy by Pellon batting is sold on board/bolts of 9 yards - or three queens. Hancocks sells it by the yard at 96" wide. I love it.

I have not had to buy batting for some time.  When I went to order

at Hancock's of Paducah, there were six pages of choices!  I have

been using the same Hobbs batting for thirty years, but am determined

to try wool on some project that deserves the extra expense.  I certainly

envy the quilters who have the space to purchase batting by the bolt or

the six bat carton!
