I have been sewing quilt tops since about 1988 because my Grandmother had been a quilter, and at the time I thought it would be nice to make one quilt and follow in her footsteps - foolish, foolhardy and I should have known better. Since then, I have a scrappy pile (piles) which I try to reduce every now and again. Unfortunately, I can get easily side-tracked by a new pattern or a new idea or even the lovely sunshine.

So presently and at last count, I have 17 UFOs. Yikes! I need to finish something and reduce the number. It would help if I didn't buy quilt magazines where there is always a new pattern to try.

Anyway, thank you all for the nice comments about the unfinished as of yet "Heart and Flowers" quilt that will be given to my Grand-niece. It will get done!

This is a strip and strings quilt that I am currently working on. The rows have yet to be sewn together, and then the binding will be put on. I do this one as a quilt-as-you-go. My kitten also wanted to be in the picture.

This picture is a little blurry, but you can see it too is a scrap quilt. Lots of little rectangles cut and sewn back together. It too is not finished - binding just has to be sewn down.

I love your scrap quilts.  I had 19 UFO's finished 5 of them but started 5 new projects so stil have nineteen.  But that is what quilting is all about.

I love scrappy quilts! Yours are so colorful. I need to make a couple myself as my scrap pile is quite large. You've inspired me! :)
