I just purchased Material Obsession 2 and love everyone of the quilts.  After much thought I finally decided to make the Spider Web quilt shown as Maple Leaf Rag in the book.  I like it because the background will be using some of my stash as well and the quilt is just so colorful. Has anyone done one of these?

Thanks for a good tip.  After reading the directions I know you really need to be thoughtful about how you put your pieces together so that the webs match at the corners.  I am also doing the Farmer's Wife Sampler - so lots of projects on the list.  Look forward to seeing yours.

Hi Nancy...I am about halfway through my Spider Web/Maple Leaf Rag.  I really like how it is coming out.  It does take a lot more organization than I expected!  After spending too much time rearranging I finally got into a rhythm.  I work on one "web" at a time and pin it to a batting that I can roll up when I am not working on it.  It is definitely eating into my stash which is a good thing!  I love both the MO books which is funny since I think of myself as a traditional quilter...they sort of stretch my fabric choices!
