Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
On my mother, Ramona's side of this family, there are six grandchildren, now all grown and spread out across the country with spouses and families of their own. But as children, these kids were all united for a week of fun in the summer time on what came to be called "Gramma week." My mom would pack up her Nissan with junk food and kids and take them away for a week of non-stop spoiling for the kids and peace and quiet for the parents who were left behind but invited to come at the end of the week if they liked. Now the grown kids are commonly referred to as "The Cousins" and each time we are all together, there will be a cousin picture taken with as many cousins as are present.
My nephew, Alex and his bride Sarah are the last of the cousins by only a month to get married (Angie got married the month before) and here they are with their dog Huey and "Christmas for Cowboys." Their lovely wedding was at Camarillo Ranch in Camarillo, California and the reception was in this gorgeous barn.
I think it was this reason that my daughters determined that "Christmas for Cowboys" was perfect for them. Southern California is not usually quilt territory but they have had a cold snap lately so maybe it will come in handy. Merry Christmas, kids!
