My Little Helper

This is Shadow, my quilting buddy.  Shadow is afraid of the vacumn cleaner, my husband, and large birds, but he has no fear of the quilting machine.  Why is this?  The first time he ever dared to enter my home, I was quilting.  Does the machine sound like a giant mama kat purring?  It's a mystery.
Yesterday I was able to work on the Aura hexagon quilt for most of the afternoon.
It's getting close.  I can see the edge.  Maybe I will be able to finish the quilting during my next session.  I can't wait to see how it looks when it comes off the rails.
Do you have a quilting helper?  Leave a comment below.
Have a wonderful day!

Oh my!  How adorable all these pics are!  I'm so glad I checked in this morning, because they all made me smile.  Don't we all just love our fur babies!  I know I do.

I also have a furry helper. Today he was busy making sure things didn't float away. The ironing board and the the quilt I was trying to hand quilt. He is presently napping from the major effort.

I have a quilting helper who also hates the vacuum.  But he loves to lay on the base of my quilt as I hand-sew the binding.  He likes to change "hiding in plain sight" places to nap.

that's one of my fave pics of MAU, carla :)) ..i was told by a trainer in a pet store years ago that cat's can see red & love it. so hubs & i tested the idea w different colored toys ...yup! they do seem to like red better. i bet MAU really loves the reds in this quilt!!

Shadow is a very pretty boy. looks like my late Squeaky, my avatar. squirrely squeakey --afraid of everything, spent too much time in hiding, except when she was curled up in my lap while i quilted :))

I sure do! my MAU, who stays with me while I sew and then inspects it very closely. she turns her head back to me and meows if she likes it. so funny. she took at least 10 minutes on this one, so much longer than usual  and she was looking all over it up , down and sideways. it was priceless. I said "well"? do you like it?
