P9140060.JPGWhat a beautiful day, the first snow of the season.   It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas (Christ's Birthday)

I'm getting ready for my first craft fair. I'm making quilted purses mainly. I hope they catch someones eyes. I have quilts, wall hangings, table runners, casarole carriers, oven mitts, lap blankets, baby blankets, pillows.

I made a Christmas boot that my mother-in-law made 50 years ago. I haven't seen any like them anywhere else.

Needless to say I am having fun!!!!

The purse is gorgeous!  I love the fabric choices.  I also find those boots absolutely fascinating, and there's really lots of intricate work on them.  I haven't ever seen anything such as these either, and I've been around longer than the 50 years ago when your MIL made them!!  What is the technique called that is done in white thread or yarn?  It's truly very unusual.  I wish you great success at the craft fair.  I wish I lived near you so that I could purchase some of your things.  However, I know there's no way I could be close because I live in the deep south and it hasn't snowed here in 33 years!  Blessings to you, Dee!

These are the Christmas Boots. They can be used instead of Christmas Stocking, Centerpieces with Poinsettias, or to hold candy for the holiday.
