My last posting was in June right after I put my parents in a nursing home.  Glad to report that they are doing well and love their new home.  The family home has been sorted and sold and my craft room is finally back to being my craft room.  Was still having trouble getting back to quilting so I set myself a couple of goals for the year.  I want to learn to paper piece and machine quilt.  I live in an area that doesn't have a lot of variety of classes being offered, and I didn't want to wait around until  those  skills were being offered.  I discovered Crafsy.com and signed up for Peggy Martin's paper piecing class!  I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this class.  You own your classes for life so you can do it at your own pace.  For $14 I have 4 or 5 different pattern lessons!

I have taken the pinwheel lesson and they are so user friendly!  Love the ability to pause and do it right along with her! I have finished my first pinwheel top!!!!  I will post it as soon as I get it quilted and bound!

It feels great to be back at the machine!!!!! Great day to all!

My mind boggles at the backward art of paper-piecing.   I have tried it a couple times and I become fumble fingers I guess.   It just never turns out like it supposed to.   But I do love the nice sharp points that can be obtained w/that method.  Maybe I will try your suggestion of the class, working at a slower pace might benefit me.   Look forward to seeing your finished project.   Happy sewing.       Sue
