Blessed by my Creator once again, my eyes opened to another wonderful weather day and already I am into finishing my Scrappy Hearts Quilt top which I hope to sandwich and quilt this weekend.....How about you?  Isn't this a beautiful day and I am blessed to face another quilt filled day.

Here is where I am at right now with my latest top.....

I auditioned fabrics last night and finally chose this one - what do you think of my choice?

I tried green leaves on black but it was just too busy

Knowing your all so talented, so may I have some opinions, please?

Have an absolutely wonderful day and may your God Bless.....

how wide is the border piece going to be??  I kinda like the green if it isn't too wide.  It seems to brighten up the heart pieces.

Hi, Mitts. l agree w/Rogue ( and your choice), the blue has a smaller print, and is less confusing to the eye.

oh i wish i were a board member here :)) .... but perhaps my rather strange sense of fun & lack of decorum, might tend towards a less quilt focused discussion forum :)) no, by the Board, i am referring to a quilt forum called the Quilting Board. several MQP members are also members there.

I have found we are vocal because this is our place to freely speak or ask questions and where no other quilter puts another quilter down.  Truly a most generous and thoughtful group of people.  Too bad the world isn't governed by Quilters, I believe there would be so much love that power struggles and wars would have no room to grow and flourish.  My best friend put down LOVE as her religious affiliation, I believe I wish to adopt that same affiliation.  Thank you for your insight and comments and becoming a Board Member, with time being at a premium I appreciate that you and the others have given us all a wonderful gift.

you are so welcome, mitts :)). i find mqp to be one of the most pleasantly interactive q forum available. wonderful talented & friendly quilters in other forums i visit, & i, & several other mqp members, are members of the board, but in my reading here & there, we all are more vocal here. don't know why, but have thought maybe because of the way this one organized. whatever, i love the visiting :)).

the blue.

the green is a wonderful print & shade of green, but i think it too light, not enough contrast of hue between it and the pale colors of squares surrounding the heart block. love those hearts. love scrap quilts, too!

Brenda, aren't scraps just the greatest?  One's imagination can really get a good work out using scraps.  Most of the childrens' quilts I make for charity are all scrappy, though I do try to grab children themed tiny patterned pieces.  Thank you for your comments, I am loving these hearts.

Cheri, thanks, I was thinking the blue to assist in the idea of the hearts more or less floating....I hope my vision of the finished piece works, I have been known to blunder though.  Your comment really helps, thank you.
