Hello Debbie,

I have been getting bits and pieces of knowledge about quilting from a dear sister-in-law who is more a sister to me than anything. She learned to quilt in her late 50's and now makes the most beautiful quilts. Well, I have finally gotten the bug for quilting. I have been finishing up all the started projects she has shown me through the years. ( She is now in her late 70's ) I bought us both a Thimbleberries book and we are making quilts with the blocks in there. I do not live in the same state as she but we are facebooking the pictures to each other. I love to quilt, I have found! My passion is for cross stitching and so it is hard to sit and quilt when the cross stitch is calling me. I love to do prayer shawl ministry and make baby blankets (mostly crochet). I am a gardener too when my arthritis is not acting up. I teach piano and love music. My husband and I have a daughter who is getting her doctorate in piano performance. She is well past her mother in the piano! We also have two grown sons but no grandchildren as yet! Thanks for welcoming me to this new craft even though I have been getting go instructions for 15 years!
