"Agree, and my first cast ever.  Pretty good for this 75 yo.  The boot today, it is inflatable too so gives extra support.  Will be using a walker to support the lack of use of my left leg.  But progress being made."

"Both of my machines are fairly new.  It is my left foot that had surgery.  Problem is the swelling and it isn't easy to keep it elevated for any length of time.  So I manage a bit at the machine, but not much more than 30 minutes…"

"Very nice job, Riana.  I am chomping at bit being in wheelchair.  I can sew but just for about 49-60 minutes before leg swells.  Will be so glad when cast is off."

"Carla, I am hoping to finish up my pumpkin swap quilt and the St. Peppers lonely hearts.  Both need to be quilted....of course this blessed foot is prohibiting that for now.  Still have 2 more weeks with no weight bearing.  Not sure…"

"Mary, the news just looks terrible.  The fires are so devastating in all areas of CA.  We have been very cold here in NV.  In the high 20s, low 30s in the wee hours.  My foot in the cast doesn’t like the cold, so my hubby…"

Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
I am a crafter. I knit, crochet, sew (fun stuff, no clothes), and quilt. I learned to applique also and love to needle turn, but eyes are not as good as they were. Live in Sun City Anthem in Henderson, NV and belong to the Sewing Club, Arts & Crafts Club and Desert Quilters Guild.

  Thank you Wilma.  I love the black and white quilts and had a bunch of yardage to use up so Made this for my  grandaughter.  Didn't make even a dent in my stash.

I'm just one kitty shy of being a crazy cat lady. I foster orphan kitties for a rescue organization. I kept all four of my kitties the first time I fostered. I already had 3. I make tiny kittie blankie a with Minky swirl fabric for each kitty to take home. Next kitten season I'm sure I'll be a card carrying crazy cat lady.

Looks like the "friending" worked, but when I try to compose, it is saying I have no friends.  Anyway, I have lots of flower patterns I could adapt to the Got Water theme.  Thank you for the offer.  There is another row by row with watering can and flowers...may wilt the one the can can't reach.

Thanks so much for the you tube site,  now I'm going to be in trouble making boxes.  I also have some pre-quilted fabric I'd like to get rid of so guess where it's going?  Those boxes I think will make good thread catchers by our chairs where we hand sew, will make as quick Xmas gifts foe my quilting friends.  Again thanks,   Judi
