I have sewn since I was 6 years old. I have always sewn clothing for myself and my children. I also cross stitch, crochet,do embroidery, monogram, and do alterations. I have recently begun to learn to knit; I am SO excited about that!! I have always admired quilts! I have finished ONE and 1/2 quilts ....so I consider myself a beginner quilter! :)

Hi Tina,

Just signed up.  I have been quilting several years and enjoy going on quilt retreats.  I am going to Cincinnati, Ohio for that quilt show in April.  And then going to Paducah later in April for that quilt show.  Retired from my job 2 1/2 years ago.

Hi Tina!  I've been here for a few weeks now and am really enjoying it.  Since I don't belong to any social networking sites this is all new to me.  I've been quilting for 5 years...I never learned to sew, so I had to learn how to use a sewing machine first!  I didn't intend to start quilting and it was just a fluke the way I got started, but I am soooo hooked now!  I just love it.  I make quilts for gifts, to donate and to sell.

There are several groups here you may be interested in...sewing, embroidery, newbies (I just started that one).  I belong to traditional quilts, piecing, machine quilting, scrappy quilts and a few others.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and welcome!
