Happy birthday, Teresa~I hope you have a wonderful day!
Thanks for friend invite. Its great to make new friends who are quilters and understand some of the horror you go through. Well thats with me for right now. Like cutting fabric the wrong size and just things like that. Or measuring the fabric wrong and cutting the ENTIRE piece really, really too short. You know just little things like that. But I'm sure you've NEVER ever done something like that. lol Its great to be your friend. Talk to you soon neighbor.
I am sure we know some of the same people in Erwin............. How long hve you lived there? I lived in Jonesborough for 10 yrs and Johnson City for 3 yrs. Glad to be your friend and your photos are super/
HI Teresa. Thanks for the friend invite.
Am sitting here having the last respiratory treatment for the day. Now to do the rest of the vitals...
Be sure to start with the first book of each series. It makes the most sense as I refer back to people in the next book, etc.
First book in each series is:
Butter in the Well
Trail of Thread
Planting Dreams
Many thanks from the Kansas prairie...and enjoy! Linda
HI Teresa,
I hope I got your email answered on where to find my books, but if not here's the link again. http://www.lindahubalek.com/pioneer-swedish-immigrant-books.
Enjoy them!

Teresa, Thanks for the compliment on my wedding wall hanging. It was fun to make. We're currently visiting my daughter and son in law in their new apt in Portland and they have it hanging in their living room and have coordinated the rest of their decorating with the same colors.
Welcome Quilter Friend!
Just wanted to pop in to say “hello” and introduce myself. I’m Linda Hubalek, fellow quilter and author from Kansas. Books about pioneer women are my specialty, with a cooking or quilting theme mixed into each historical fiction series.
My Trail of Thread book series is written in the form of letters sent back home when my ancestors traveled to Kansas. Each book mentions twelve old-time quilt patterns, and I put drawings of them in the back of the books.
So if you like to read—besides quilting—please enjoy my blog and book excerpts on my website. Besides printed as paperbacks, my ten books are also available for your Kindle or Nook.
I have about a dozen quilts made by my great grandmother, (that we used all the time when I was a kid) so I’m into antique quilts and patterns. What kind of quilts and patterns do you like to work with?
Happy quilting and reading!
Linda Hubalek
