Help Save the Thimble

Posted on January 16, 2013 at 4:30pm 2 Comments

Are you a digitabulist?

Well, you are if you collect thimbles. Have you ever wondered about the history of the thimble? Since Hasbro has decided to “jail” one of Monopoly's game pieces, this places our beloved thimble in jeopardy. I decided to do a little research, and here is a brief summary of what I learned:

A thimble is the protective shield worn on the…

They keep telling me that change is a good thing and I should embrace it. So I'm working on that (smile). The change I'm working on now is that we are adding a position and filling one that will become vacant.

AQS is adding a position of Associate Show Director. This person will work hand-in-hand with our executive show director to keep our shows fresh, lively, and full of fantastic quilts. This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves quilts and quilt shows and enjoys all the…

Thank you for the welcome. I think I am really going to enjoy this site. At 73 years old I am really a novice at this computer thing. I don't Facebook or Twitter. Am not experienced with t electronic media. I did find at American Quilter the book I was looking for, Clever Banners, Panels, and Postcards, and ordered it at a considerable savings over the price offered on E-Bay....$14.83 versus $5.00. Thanks again, Barbara
