Just saw your question regarding hand quilting. I really enjoy hand quilting. However it is very time consuming. I hand quilted a quilt for my DIL, Nicci, because It just screamed to be hand quilted with the broderie perse applique. A lot of the things I do I have professionally quilted, but prfer the hand quilting, esp. if it is a reproduction quilt or primitive, or small enough to finish relatively quick. I do not do FMQ. Have taken a few classes, but it's not my forte! Hope that answers your question. Going to look for the mission dolls now... thanks for the info...
Hi Rita. The bird pincushion pattern is on a facebook group called Just Us Quilters. type in Just Us Quilters in Facebook and become a member. At the top on the page is a "Files" category. Click on it and the pdf for the pincushion is listed there. If you have trouble just let me know and we'll figure out something ;)
Thank you for the welcome. I love quilting. My mother in law taught me when I married her son, my second husband 15 years ago. My first quilt was an embroidered quilt top that I hand quilted. She has made almost 100 quilts and never used a sewing machine on them....totally hand quilted. She is in a nursing home now and is not quilting anymore.
Good Morning Rita, I was wondering if you may have already sent the pattern for your beautiful coral scalloped baby quilt. I was afraid it may have went to my junk mail and I missed it. I was hoping to start it soon as I am a beginner on quilting. Thank you again on sharing this with me. I want to do something special and that quilt is PERFECT.
