Thank you for the message you left sometime early last month in regards to my military service. I am honored to serve for this great nation and most of all for 4 ones that I love. You were kind to take time and leave a message. Thank you for your support of the troops. SSG Lisa M. Garrett-Bryan, US Army.
Hi, Penny...
I found it! I found the large size Carpenter's Square pattern in a book suggested to me by Linda Hubalek , Quilting: Pieces of the Past, which I found and ordered from Amazon! Thanks so much for your offer to share your pattern, but now you can happily focus on finishing your quilt instead of at the PC, scanning for me! :-) I'm looking forward to seeing your quilt when it's finished, and I only hope mine will turn out as beautiful as yours! Thanks, again, for your thoughtfulness! S:-)
It's not bad enough I'm a new quilter, but deciding whether to "comment back" or "send message" has really got my knickers in a knot!! So, somewhere in cyberspace is my response to your very kind email...Sue
Congratulations! That's wonderful!
Hi Penny: What a wonderful website. I shared it with my friend Sharon who is a wonderful quilter. You can see her website at www.in-stitches.biz. Like you she's a wonderful quilter but unlike you she's not able to make a living at it. I owe my interest in quilting to her. She lives across the fairway from me and it's so wonderful to go over with a stack of fabrics and spend time coming up with a great combination.
Anyway, where did you live in Yaupon Beach? We love it where we are.....right on the golf course and a short walk to the beach. The second bridge opened last year after nearly 20 years of promises. Our good friend May Moore, who was Mayor of Yaupon Beach and a County Commissioner was instrumental in pushing it through finally.
On to your Facebook page......
Hi Penny: Boy it's a small world isn't it? We live in (what was) Yaupon Beach on Augusta Dr. We've been here 17 years. My neighbor goes to Ocean View Methodist and said that she knows some Streeters who go there. Could they be relatives? We love it here. I'm new to this website and have spent close to an hour trying to figure out how to reply to you. I haven't been quilting that long but absolutely love it. I think I like collecting fabric the most and since I have 2 boxes full of UFOs I've come to the conclusion that it's the journey and not the destination that I like best. Now I'm going to look at all your photos and go to your Facebook page and learn more about Penny Streeter. Thanks for Contacting me...Pam
Penny, I have to tell you again that your Aviary quilt is stunning. I have shared the link with so many of my friends. I'm not usually drawn to pastels, but I can say that no more. And the quilting!!!!! I've been back twice to look. Wish you were closer. Thanks for friending me on AQS, I don't know my way around that site very well, hope I don't get "lost". I don't spend much time reading blogs, rather be sewing, but your blog is fun to read, found myself lauging outloud at some of your shared thoughts. I've only been sewing/quilting/appliqueing for 6 years, and just getting around to learning free motion on home machine. Quite the challenge. Nice to meet you, thanks for sharing.

Good morning Penny, glad to be your friend. It's great to learn from others about quilting and there are so many things to learn, aren't there?
Hope you have a great day.
Hi Penny~ Glad to see you over here!! How's your new machine working for you?
