Pam the layer cakes are in the designer batik swap where the strips are. If you are on the charm page there is a url on that page that will take you to the strip page. the group has closed but there is always a new one started all the time. Just join in on the group, you will receive the postings and Carla is doing the layers and Colette is doing the strips, till I have finished recovering from my surgery. I had a mild stroke hit me and I still need some therapy till I can wrap my brain around the thinking process of the swap.

I still do the batik 5" charms. There will be a new signup as soon as I receive the ones that have just finished. What we do is when the signup closes, each person sends in their fabric and when Carla, me or etc get them sent back we start a new swap. We have been doing the 2.5" for almost 2 years now and the charms about a year. Carla just decided to do the 10" Layer this month to see how it is going to do. It did close in about 2 weeks.

Just keep reviewing the group and the gals will let you know when they will start again. Its always nice too, to see everyone's work in progress.

Enjoy the group!

Welcome you to MQP, I am Chef Lisa an honest to goodness Chef.

Sometimes we are not sure where to visit on this site. Over a year ago I joined in, navigated throughout and started a few pages with several swaps.

The swaps have very been successful. I wanted to let you know that I have a group of quilters that are doing several different swaps: the 2 ½” Designer Quilt Store quality Batiks, the Charm Squares 5” in Batiks and Cotton and new the 10” Layer Cake. The swap is just starting new sign-ups for the New Year!

Not to worry, there are usually several different signups every month. Just click on the highlighted url and join in

Carla Walton and Colette LeFever are the administrators for the Designer Batik Swap. You will need to friend Carla, Colette, and Chef Lisa along with Teresa Scanlon that is doing the Cotton Charm Swap. Come on over to view what we are doing at the projects page, some of the gals are doing the Blooming Nine Patch and the Jewel Tone that uses the 2.5” strips and the Charms. Some of the group is doing the Twister quilts with the’ lil’ twister tool, just view that page also. The new Layer cakes will soon have a place in everyone’s hearts.

To join the Charm Square Swap of either Batik or 100% cotton go to this link
