Hello Nancy, love your July Jubilee. Beautiful fabrics and colors.
Hi Nancy,
I will be messaging you my address in a few days so I can send it to everyone at once. Can't wait to see what you came up with for your pin cushion, this is always a fun swap to do.
Hi Nancy,
I don't have anything in the show( I don't belong to the guild, which meets at night, and I would have a 17 mile drive home on dark windy roads). It is usually a good show, don't miss the ART quilts in the food building. I will be at the vendors, and "white elephant" building before it opens at 10 AM. The bargains are incredible, and I behave badly. Hope we could recognize each other.
Nancy, I love doing animal quilts. they are from my personal photos. Best way to get started is to take a class. If you have no one locally to help you let me know and I will share my favorite techniques.......but better to find a local person if you are a beginner.
i have often thought of commenting here re: where you live. i had friends in folsom for several years & loved visiting them. so hard to believe that such beautiful area so close to cluttered sweltering sacramento. lucky you!
..btw...i am available for adoption
WOW, thanks SO much Nancy! I saw your Spider Wed quilt photo and gasped a good gasp. I was inspired by the exact same book as you were. I didn't follow the instructions as the book so I dove in making strada. Now I have to start cutting and I'm chicken. I hate making mistakes that wastes valuable time. I work full time and don't get to spend much time in my sewing room so for me my time is precious.
I learned to machine on my home machine but wasn't very successful at it. A girlfriend and I later started a machine quilting business by buying a longarm. I no longer use my home machine but GO FOR IT! It takes practice but it's certainly do-able!
Thanks again for your kind words and thank you for accepting my request. I look forward to seeing what you create!
Congratulations on being a featured quilter. Now I know why I keep seeing your picture when I log in. Mary
Thank you for your comments, Nancy. You have quite a variety yourself. I'd be hard put to pick a favorite. Each one has something unique about it. Your work is beautiful. I hope you will keep in touch and show me your latest projects. I have a feeling each one will be uniquely different!
Hugs, Linda
