Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Hi Montika, was wondering if you were from Wisconsin because of your Greenbay Packer throw. You have lots of very nice quilts. I see you are from Junction City, KS. You must be a fan. Go Pack!!
Sure, I will be your friend! I've enjoyed your quilts so much when you post them. They are always eye candy!
Thanks for letting me know you saw my quilt at the museum! I haven't heard a thing about it since it went to live there. I'm sorry they didn't have the back visible, because a lot of people prefer the back to the front. I hope to get down there and visit it myself sometime soon! Thanks again!
The fabrics are sponge painted. I use procian dyes and usually have a pallet of around 30-60 colors working. I sponge the dyes onto fabric, put them in a plastic bag to cure and then wash out. There are no repeats. What I'm aiming for is a landscape with lights, shadows, and a world all its own.
I have a book I developed to teach this out of . It's called the Dye Day Workbook. I publish it myself. It's available on my site at http://www.ellenanneeddy.com/store-detail.php?cat=2&ID=2
Let me know if I can help further. My email is at ellenanneeddy@gmail.com
Have you received your longarm yet
