hey thanks for the kind words........you have some very nice pieces showing in your albums too. i especially like the black and white bearpaw.

the stars quilt you commented on is an interesting construction, ive made 2 large ones and one a twin size. all the construction pieces for the stars start as 5" squares and the hour glass sashing if i recall are 4'' squares.

Winter Texans,we retired 3 yr.ago. The problem we have had with Skype is that BOTH parties need good internet. Unfortunately, our daughter with the grandkids lives out in the sticks. Even her cellphone only picks up 1 bar, and then only near a window.Having her own satellite dish too costly:((

Hi, Mitts. l live "nearby" in Thomasburg ont. near Belleville. Love your star string quilt. The closest l've seen had horizontal stings in the arms of the star. Your version ( slanted placement) is much prettier in my opinion, as it adds movement to .

l was born in Einhoven, but was already here at age1. Last time l was back to the Netherlands was 6 yr. ago, with my dad ( now deceased).l can understand a lot, but speak Dutch with a pronounced " Canadian" accent.
