I need assistance

Posted on August 17, 2011 at 1:30am 3 Comments

Hello, My name is Miles and have a quilt that I need reparing. This is the only place I have found where I might find some help. A little about the quilt...

I got this quilt from my grandmother when she passed away. It belonged to my biological father whom I never met. It is about a queen size I think made of misc jean types of squares. It has or should I say had a felt like material for the backing. All of the backing has melted away. There is some stitchings that have come undone…

Welcome Quilter Friend!

Just wanted to pop in to say “hello” and introduce myself. I’m Linda Hubalek, fellow quilter and author from Kansas. Books about pioneer women are my specialty, with a cooking or quilting theme mixed into each historical fiction series.

If you like to read—besides quilting—please enjoy my blog and book excerpts on my website too. Besides printed as paperbacks, my ten books are also available for your Kindle or Nook. Actually my Trail of Thread ebooks are on special, so now’s a good time to “Follow the trail to Kansas” with my quilting women.

Or if you’d like the paperback version I just posed a special on my Linda Hubalek website (until Aug. 21st) that you can get 20% off your book order by using the code QUILT in the shopping cart.

I have about a dozen quilts made by my great grandmother, (that we used all the time when I was a kid) so I’m into antique quilts and patterns. What kind of quilts and patterns do you like to work with?

Happy quilting and reading!

Welcome to My Quilt Place  Miles

I just join my self , but there are lots of groups and very friendly people on this site that I am sure can help you.  Look at some of the groups and ask questions.  I am sure there must be someone in your area that can repair your quilt for you.  Also if you have a quilt shop near you the should know who can repair it for you.  I have found that all quilters are very friendly and love to talk quilts.  Good Luck

Welcome Quilters! is brought to you entirely free as a service of the American Quilter's Society. We hope you enjoy meeting one another and sharing your experience and expertise. Enjoy!
