"I had. Started the pat sloan 6 inch blocks for Splendid sampler over a year ago got about 60 out of a hundred completed. There were some embroidery blocks in it that I didn't do, I may add these to it and that would be perfect! It would…"
"Not a great picture. The SD wind was challenging us. The top is cheerful. I know just where I will hang it when it is finished. Unfortunately, it will be in line with a bunch of other tops waiting to be quilted. All the…"
"I was going to just ignore this and move on with my day, but I have been thinking about it and need to say some things so I can close this in my head. Mary, we all tried to be understanding and thoughtful. We were concerned that some emergency or…"
"Mary we are actually very understanding. The last time you couldn't complete a swap someone took over. Mug rug swap and blooming baskets. It worked out fine. We were happy enough that we joined another swap with you. That could have happened…"
"Oh, Mary, we do understand that life can throw you completely off kilter. It is horrible when that happens, especially in numerous ways all at once. I know, for me, it was totally not hearing from you that was so upsetting. I…"
"I was going to just quietly slip off into oblivion as I know I let the group down and will not be hosting or joining any more swaps or for that matter having anything else to do with any of the groups on this site, however after reading some of the…"
Mary, I have a solution so you can take part this year. If you pm you personal email to me, I will email you the questionnaire. I will need you to fill it out and send back right away. I hate to see you miss out this year so I've thought of a way you can take part.
Mary - I went to the Oshkosh museum Thursday with some friends and they had a beautiful display of "The seven angels of the seven Churches" in stain class by Louise Comfort Tiffany. They were very old and were found in a shed near an old church. The angels were sent to a place in Pennsylvania to be restored. It took them over a year and a half to clean and restore. They were just beautiful and worth the time and money to go see.
Mary, we drive our motorhome to Texas right after Christmas to enjoy a warmer than Canadian winter:) Come May l'll be back home gardening, sewing , and babysitting grandkids, but in the meantime, l play golf, walk the beach, and sew quilt tops to quilt when l'm home.
Hi Mary, I don't know how to send a friend request on here, as I don't have your email.
I would like to participate in the January cool palette block swap if you still have room. I see 9 have signed up so far. Let me know what information I need to send you. You can send me a friend request at email@example.com.
late response - my apologies. but you are welcome. i am a bit of a nerdy person, love learning how things work. the child that disassembled clocks and learned to pick locks now, as a senior, loves figuring out how things on the internet work :)). if you have any other probs/issues let me know. if i don't know the answer, i will eventually.
oh...and the fall blocks were great! looking forward to following the winter block swap.
hi mary. i'm not a member of the mug rug swaps, but i follow along and enjoy all the projects and photos. just read your comment to barbara about how to contact the new members of your group who sent group message instead of posting comments on group page.
go to the "members" page on the header of main page. type their names (one at a time) into the search window on left side of page just above where all members pages start to show. that will take you to link to their individual pages here at mqp. and leave them a message in their comment window as i am doing here on your page. they will get a personal email from the site w link back to your message to them. good luck. it took me the longest time to figure this all out.
