Well folks, I have gone and done it! I found a APQS longarm 2nd hand, locally and Friday I am going to pick it up. I have named her Gwen after my mother who was a regionally famous artist. My mom also designed and made costumes for her sister's dance studio. I remember sitting in her sewing room as a young girl working on my sewing projects using a treadle machine.

I had a lot of fun making "Hop to it" pictures are posted on my profile.  The inspiration for the colours in this quilt came from the sashing fabric.  The fabric is brown with a small soft turquoise geometic in it.  I used the embroidery background to correspond with the sashing fabric.  I then used a brown/black and light brown stripe for the border which I mitered matching the corners 99% perfect.  I then echo quilted around the designs getting progressively looser as I moved around the…
