I took care of my Mother and Aunt for over thirteen years the last ten full time. My Mother passed away at 92 years and my Aunt at 90. The last five years my daughter and son helped me a lot. I know how hard it is to care for a parent, so if you have any thing you need someone to talk to, I am here for you.
Take ever chance you get to give her love, kisses and hugs. You will be glad you did after she is gone. I have wonderful memories and the only ones I kept were the good ones.
Hi Karen,
I hope that we can become good friends here at My Quilt Place.
Hi Karen! I'm Bridget and I live in Seaside, Oregon. I'm sure there are many quilters in your area....you just need to go to the top of your page and click on "Quilters". There are over 3000 members here, so it would take a long time to go through looking for someone in Indiana, but I'm sure you'd find some.
I joined this site at the end of April and I'm really enjoying myself now that I've found my way around. I'm in a small town without any guilds, quilting groups or classes, and it was lonely having no one to talk to about quilting. When I came here I joined several of the groups and now I've met a lot of quilters. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. That's the best way to get to know people. You might think about joining newbies, piecing, applique and hand quilting. There are groups for every interest.
Anyway, welcome and I hope you'll enjoy it here as much as I do!
