Night Sky queen-size

Here is the finished quilt. The bargello design moves to show the wind moving. The two trees reach for each other overhead and the two birds are moving toward one another. All cotton top and back, cotton/bamboo fill. 85 x 98 inches.

Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
Quilting is my avocation. I am passionate about the art of quilting. While most of what I do in my work life is endless -- the more you do, the more you need to do -- quilting actually comes to an end, looks beautiful, and people ooh and aah -- how rewarding!
How many quilts have you made?
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
I make them. So far in 2012 I have made a king-size and 8 crib quilts, and have two more tops ready to quilt.
How long have you been a quilter?
casually since 1967, seriously since 2002
What is your favorite quilting technique?
machine piecing, paper piecing
Why do you quilt?
for the joy of it
