I have so enjoyed all you have posted and visited your gallery many times. I just noticed that the quilt you have titled Celtic Solstice is really Allietare. I noticed because I am a big fan of Bonnie K Hunter.  You did a fantastic job on your Allietare! It's Beautiful!

I do hope the book will help you with the illusion quilt.  It is a fun quilt to make.

i know what you mean! :)) i joined mqp in nov '11. i spent several months before that just lurking and looking at all the quilts. amazing talents here. the site started up in march of that year & i didn't realize till later that many of the quilts were from pros or friends of site designers. one of them told me once that they did that to illustrate how the site could be used. i have belonged to the board for longer and lurk a lot there too. but mqp has become such a fun and socially interactive place to wander and visit in each day. now i feel like i need to peek in at least every day, sometimes a couple times a day. instead of sitting down w my tea and lunch and catch up w news or blog wander, i wander in and see what new quilts posted and read comments :)). i only wish that i had more time to build quilts, and spent less time building rock walls lollol!! somday ...i just keep promising myself ...someday
