I love the crinkled look after quilting and washing! One thing I always try to do is use a print on the back. Once I used a solid and every imperfect stitch stood out to me. Of course once it was washed you couldn't really tell. But I still like using prints just in case!
Yes. It's my own pattern. I've designed my own quilts practically from the beginning because a book or pattern will call for a certain number of yards or whatever. I design them based on what fabrics I have and what I want to use. My husband keeps trying to get me to market my patterns, but I just use my notes as I go and wouldn't know how to write a proper pattern with exact yardage amounts. Plus, everything I make is easy! Just pick a block or two, add sashing or not and a border and that's it. Too many magazines have super easy patterns that anyone could design themselves. I do have a few favorites that came from M'Liss Rae Hawley's books. Two are from Fons and Porter's magazine, but it's just easier to do my own thing.
Thank you for the compliment on one of my quilts; that was very thoughtful of you!
Do you quilt your own quilts? I love the look of the quilting on the white/pink one! It's gorgeous!
