I just remembered the date and it was in the spring and I expect you did enjoy, but do try and make the Hershey Quilt Show sometime.

Check out the Hershey Quilt show sometime. I find that out of the two, I like Hershey the best. Been to both. Enjoy, it's a great show.

My pleasure, Jean.
Jean I enjoyed looking at your web page and MQP photos. You do lovely work. Blessings to you!
Jean, I watched the slide show of the Hershey Quilt show. Some amazing and beautiful quilts.
Hi Jean, thanks for your friend request ;) So glad to see that you are 'right up the road' :)
Thank you for the friend request and "I accept!" Never can have too many friends. Things are in a huge turmoil right now and I am a mess but I continue on, always looking Up!
Hi Jean! Thanks for the friend request. I forgot about My Quilt Place! Our local Quilt Guild (Lakeshore Quilters) is having a quilt show at a nearby historic home. It is such a lovely place to display quilts and other crafty items made by our members! We do this about every 2 to 3 years. I'm retired and spend quite a bit of time making quilts and other craft items. It is great fun, challenging and I end up with a supply of handmade gifts for family and friends. I'm sure you do the same! Next week we have a 2-day Retreat and will be making Eleanor Burns' Day & Night quilt. It is fun to try new techniques.
What are you working on?
BTW, I grew up in Pennsylvania and went to Ashland College. I taught at Brunswick High School, Brunswick, Ohio.
Glad to meet you!

Hi Jean. Thanks for asking to be my friend. I went to the Grand Rapids, MI quilt show in 2011 and purchased a Pennywinkle Sunshine 16 while I was there. That is a sit down machine not with a frame. I didn't get it until December and have done three large quilts and a bunch of small ones (charity quilts)since but I have not been very adventuresome with my designs. I have 3 small quilts ready to work on but have been sewing some caps (dorags) for my son-in-law and to donate to the local cancer treatment center and only have room to have one machine set up at a time. So the regular machine gets put away tomorrow and the quilter gets set up for a few days. Will try to remember to post some pics here when they are finished.
Hope you had a great holiday weekend. We had some scattered storms that just happened to come at the right time to mess up going swimming on Sunday.
I'm going to check out all your lovely pics now. Gayle
Thanks for the Hershey Quilt Show.
Particularly loved the Annie Orr looking one. Orr's quilts have long been favorites of mine - very geometric.
Jean, I just look thru all your beautiful work. I also noticed you live in N. Olmstead. That's a distance, but not so far you couldn't come over and spend a day with me and we could sew, sew, sew. I'd come visit you but I can't drive anymore. Would love to meet you. Hugs.
