Arrow Head quilt

This is the arrow head block. I have been working on this quilt for over a year. It was always the backup project. It is so nice to finally be done.

bad Day

I am having such a bad day- I was in the middle of quilting one of my projects down and my sewing machine started making an awful noise.  I tried everything I know to make it stop- I cleaned it out, changed my bobbin, re-threaded it, oiled it and it stopped making the yucky noise but now it keeps snapping my thread- AHHHHHH.  So I decided to switch to my back up machine and it decided it doesn't want to work either.  Why oh why are my machines misbehaving?  I guess they will be going to the…

Jackie, Be careful, when cleaning machine,do not let a piece of thread or build up get stuffed  back tight into tension.depending on machine, try toopen tension all  the way and make sure  the foot is up to not engage the tension disc. then suck out,not blow in the fuzz.I keep a small vac. just for this. stitchesbykathy@cox.net

Jackie, we've all been there. Just use the down time to plan out your stitching on the quilts or organize your sewing space so when the machines are back you're good to go.

i do too. looking forward to seeing your next quilt. i live vicariously, i guess, thru all of you here at MQP who finish and post soooo many beautiful quilts. i really do not understand how some can say they have made hundreds of quilts! even if they are counting quilted place mats and table runners. i am lucky to finish a few. but then, i remind myself, they are not doing in their daily lives, not even those w a job outside of home, all that i do with my piping, digging, painting, terraforming yadayadayada LOLLOL! but quilting has become my go to source of creative relaxation over the years. but i do wish i had more time to persue my quilting "wanna do's" .....

I am still trying to figure out my way around this site. I plan to appliqué the blocks. Do I need to send you my address right now? Anything else?

Hello Jackie, welcome to MQP.  Hope you enjoy the site.  There is a lot to see, fun groups to join and friends to meet.  Good luck to you finding the fabric you need.  I hate doing that and running short.
