Some years ago I had drapery business - now I do more light weight sewing, inlcuding learning to quilt. So far, I've made a number of quilts for us at home, for friends and some to sell. I also make placemats, table runners, potholders and, or course, tote bags, quilted and from heavier drapery fabrics.
I sell on Etsy and part of my proceeds go to charity - some to a local group that works on behalf of abused women and half of all my earnings from my dog and cat themed products to an animal rescue group based here in Maryland.
Please stop by an visit my stores or contact me if you have any questions.
Ilse, I saw your beautiful set of coasters, table runner and place mats and the mug rug - beautifully done and so very pretty, your so talented and your works so far that I have seen are wonderful. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Hi, again! Your bags are so nice. The one that caight my eye was the pig with the lace around her waist and I was thinking..."this little piggy went to market"! Your pieceing is perfect and I like the way you use a nice solid piece of fabric to highlight your quilting. I too enjoy making smaller items, especially if I need to practice a technique. Like, yesterday, I wanted to try a tread for a larger project (photos to come soon) so I made a single "block" then turned it into a coater, which also allowed me to try out a new binding technique. I'm still on the lookout for a good bookbag pattern. More later, Michelle in NE Florida.....sewing room is starting to call me!
