ContinueHi Ginny, I think we were friends on the other website. I am glad many of us found this site and it is enjoyable.
Thank you!! Most of them were customers. There were a few that were mine. I wish I could piece like my customers.
Hi Ginny, How are you. It has been quite sometime since I have been here. But towards the end of the year 2017. I decided that I need to pay attention to my friends here at My Quilt Place because I have not been exactly nice to them. I had a tough year mentally and got pretty down. Then in the last few months of the year I lost three people who I knew two. Plus I also lost my cat Oscar at the end of June/August so I needed something to keep me busy! So quilting and christmas presents were important.
Not having any family or friends who live locally I mainly associate with my friends who live in other states. They have extremely busy lives and family conmittments but they still find time for me. Robyn scored big at christmas with my cushion present gift pack.
This is them at their new home. I still have more to finish be they are on hold as I have to start making my crazy quilt miniature with the quilt show! Must be ready by March so I'm glad it's only 24 x 24 inches. I have heaps of bit but can't make my mind up on a template. So I think I'm going to fudge it with a trial piece. So I wanted too let you know I will be around much more this year and will communicate more often if you would like.
I hope this email finds you well and not too cold. Or even frozen in by snow and ice. I know USA and some other places have been greatly effected. So I hope to catch up with you very soon. Take care and god bless. Ps I saw your Bible Block Quilt it is truly wonderful. Can't wait to hear from you. Julie Beard .
Thank you , Ginny for all your flattering comments on my recent photos. The # 1125 was a panel, I cannot take credit for any piecing on that one.
Thanks Ginny, the turquoise blue looks almost purple. This is one of my favorite tops. I hope I can get a lot done on it this winter. I am not sure what color to hand quilt the star with. Not all colors are available for hand quilting. Was thinking of maybe using a cream color thread, comments?
Thanks for the comment on the quilt top. I really like these colors, and am going to make another one in purples and white or maybe the same gray. I finally received my six inch ruler to use with my sit down long arm. Am anxious to get started! This top went very quickly together because of the large pieces. I had thought about maybe making the blocks smaller which would make more stars, comments?
Sorry for my extremely late response. I haven't been on here much at all. I didn't know there was a guild in Metropolis!! Nice, thank you. I'll have to check that out.
Thank you for the birthday wishes.
Thanks Ginny, I am really into the Southwest colors and décor. It's sometimes hard for me to use other colors and designs outside of my style. I have, they aren't my favorite and am surprised that they turn out. ha ha ha. They usually go to another home.
Thanks Ginny, You didn't live to far from Minot. DH was in the AF for 23 yrs and we lived in Minot his whole career. We are currently trying to finish our flooded home so that we can move on to a new home, somewhere. He will retire from his civil service job soon.
I don't get too involved in any groups here, I tend to be a loner and find that I do better that way. There is a gal from JoAnn's that we get together and brainstorm sometimes. She is a nice gal.
