Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
Married to a wonderful man for 34 years, blessed with four children, and four grandchildren. I'm a quilt designer, technical editor, technical writer & illustrator for book and magazine publications for over ten years. My husband and I are stained glass artists. I designed and fabricated windows (cut, assemble and glazed) for Aardvark Stained Glass for thirty year eventually closing our shop due to husband advanced health issues. I have enjoyed working with kids for fourteen years as a leader in the Boy Scout, Cub Scout, and Camp Fire programs. I also enjoy spending time with my friends in our small quilt group and quilting guild.
How many quilts have you made?
Over a lifetime I have no idea. Over the last 8 years I have made close to 300 quilts (different sizes) for Asian Fabric Magazine & Kona Bay Fabrics.
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
I like to create getting inspirations from the beauty of nature, a child’s imagination and art.
How long have you been a quilter?
First time at a sewing machine my Mom had to stack phone books on the floor so I could reach the pedal. Not sure when I made my first quilt.
What is your favorite quilting technique?
I do it all but I like to hand applique' since I can take it with me no matter where I go.
