I just found "My Quilt Place" and it sounds like a great idea. I've been an AQS member for manny years but somehow missed this opportunity. Probably because I spent more time quilting than typing.I…Continue
I just love the quilts you have posted. I am thinking the Spirit quilt would be an awesome machine embroidery, but that fine a design in applique is WAAAY beyond my capability.
I didn't get to see the back, shoot! Do you have a picture of it?
Hi Georgia, I just wanted to say I saw your "Spirit" quilt in person this weekend at the Phoenix show and I can honestly say it is the best quilt I have ever seen in all my years! I visited Seattle not too long ago and fell in love with the culture there! I loved your use of the native symbols for the wildlife! I am just so impressed with it I cannot even explain it in words! Thank you for sharing!!
Hi Georgia welcome to MQP!
Just a quick note about where you can go on this site each person has the ability to do something as in a blog or a club or just chat. I have a group of gals that started swapping 2 1/2" Batik strips with me. I now have 34 gals and they are all doing projects together with the strips that we swapped. Just last week I started a Charm Swap with Batiks and 100% cotton so if you are interested you can come over to the Batik Strip Swap on the page there are discussions where Carla started the girls doing a Jewel Box quilt with the Batik strips and the charms now will help with the 4 7/8" square as Charm Squares are 5". So if you are curious come join http://myquiltplace.com/group/batik-strip-swap?xg_source=activity and http://myquiltplace.com/group/charm-square-swap
