"Mary, I remember having a nice fire in the fireplace when we had our home. None in the condo except for those who have electric fireplaces. That's not the same though.
I worry about my daughter and son-in-law being in northern…"
"Mary, I, like many, take electricity for granted. Hubby and I have been wrapped in our individual "woobies" (throw quilts) when we watch T.V. because we start to get cool in the evening when we are tired. Heat…"
"How long have you been without power now, Mary? Is it to prevent forest fires?
We see the awful damage the forest fires and high winds are doing in Southern California on the news. It is so sad to see people being interviewed who have…"
"Hubby and I had a delicious feast of ham, pineapple. mashed potatoes and salad at my son's place yesterday. Vegans had vegan "turkey" and gravy and vegan potatoes. We had 4 berry pie for dessert.

"Today I prepared batting for a throw size |Autumn quilt that I'd like to sandwich this coming week. I also sewed a backing for a quilt panel 36 x 42 for a baby quilt. I exercised in the pool this morning and got ready to go to my…"
"No fun! Riana. Do you know I cut batting into Swiffer and duster sizes for my friends. I wanted to spruce up the condo between cleanings and I used batting for dusters, even with water. I only use them once but I have strings of…"
"Thank you, Linda. The 2 women who cut and sewed the top did a nice job. I was less than happy about the scrqp backing. That is why a longarmer did not want to quilt it, I think. I'm handing it in at the big sew day in…"

If you downloaded the pattern from her blog, it should be a file on your computer and you can just attach the file to an email. Otherwise, if you scan it to your computer, again it will have a file name and can be attached. I'm not in any hurry to start...so many other things to do and my good machine is in the shop. But thank you so much for helping me out!
The "wood grain" quilting sounds interesting, can't wait to see the whole quilt done.Remember l signed up for the free online longarm class? lt said for best results, use a computor ( instead of tablet etc.) , so l closed it, deciding to use computor later. Now it won't come up.l wonder if there was a time limit.l wish l'd taken it on the tablet, even if not as good as on computor.
Smart idea, about the mug rugs...l would never have thought of fabric gluing...l'd have probably gone to snipping/pulling out the poor handwork , washed & redone w/machine. Not likely a" profitable" use of time:)
