Happy birthday, Debbie~I hope you have a wonderful day!

I'm Bridget and I live in Seaside, Oregon.  It's a small town without a guild or any quilting groups or classes, so I joned this site in hopes of meeting other quilters.  Once I joines some of the groups it was easy meeting people; everyone has been so friendly and helpful!  I belong to Newbies, Piecing, Machine Quilting and several others.

I started quilting 6 years ago, and after making my first quilt I was hooked!  I made a quilt for each family member and wanted to keep making them, so now I mainly make quilts to sell and donate.

I hope you'll enoy it here as much as I do!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and happy birthday!

Welcome Quilter Friend!

Just wanted to pop in to say “hello” and introduce myself. I’m Linda Hubalek, fellow quilter and author from Kansas. Books about pioneer women are my specialty, with a cooking or quilting theme mixed into each historical fiction series.

My Trail of Thread in written in the form of letters sent back home while my ancestors traveled to Kansas. Each book mentions twelve old-time quilt patterns, and I put drawings of them in the back of the books.

So if you like to read—besides quilting—please enjoy my blog and book excerpts on my website. Besides printed as paperbacks, my ten books are also available for your Kindle or Nook.

I have about a dozen quilts made by my great grandmother, (that we used all the time when I was a kid) so I’m into antique quilts and patterns. What kind of quilts and patterns do you like to work with?

Happy quilting and reading!

Hi Debbie!  I'm Bridget and I live in Seaside, Oregon.  I joined this site so I could meet other quilters because I'm in a very small town and I'm the only quilter I know!  This is the next best thing to a guild or quilting group.

I taught myself how to quilt 6 years ago using books and the internet since there are no classes around here to teach me.  I would love to go to a large quilt show some day and take a class.  This is a great place though because someone is always here to help.  I hope you'll enjoy it here as much as I do!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and welcome!
