Anything that doesn't involve curves...although I am learning:)

Relaxation...carry on the tradition...justify owning a Bernina and having a studio to work in...

The end of a career is near!

Hello Quilting family! I've missed getting on here and seeing what's happening on My Quilt Place.  I am happy to announce I get to retire from the Navy next year and will be looking forward to spending more time quilting and hopefully finding a way to turn this passion into profit.  If anyone has some leads or ideas on the best avenues to pursue, I'm all ears:)  I will be going to School full time since the Navy is paying me to go for three years.  I'm be working on my Masters in Education…

Wow...I took quite a bit of time away from visiting my Quilt Place! But I'm back...and quilting more than ever! I am still teaching on wednesday nights at the Potrero Community Center and have several students who will be ready to finish their project in November.  I am currently making Halloween themed goodies and working on a few small projects for the Christmas Craft Show at the Potrero County Park.  I had a booth there last year and got an idea of what would sell and what wouldn't, so I…

I have taken a little time off from my quilting passion due to life's little interruptions.  Unfortunately, I still have to work for a living:) That along with a college class last month kept me out of the quilting studio.  Happily, I was asked to teach a class at my community center and will be doing so on Wednesdays probably for the rest of the summer.  We are going to do a block a week and finish the summer with a nice throw (or larger) quilt.  Glad my civic duty got me back in front of the… Continue
