yah...plain but w diff fabs & less militaristic layout, could be cool. but ya..i like yours better already figuring which fabs to use. beem buying a yared here & there of bright fun...i am a dark soul & so is my fab stash. so the last few yrs trying to stash some bright fun stuff. guess that is my attraction to viki's quilts...cannot the color and fun that i see in them.
we turn in early too, usually,...but thurs night...gotta watch "b ig bang theory" season over but we look for reruns we havn't seen yet. i have enough trouble sitting and have that screen yak at me..don't do repeats at all lollol...but you sound like you got a lot done last night. pics to post?
hmmm that didn't look like it worked too well... so...go to debbie christie's page...her photo page... " my penguin quilt" it is worth the trip.
and, long as i'm here...howdy!..dh home..him reading..me playing here..waiting for tv show "big bang theory" to come on. it is so funny...and really hits home as we raised a megamind & this is so like the stuff he and his friends went thru. the smarter they are it just seemed the ...well..not too smart they are..in the common sense department lollol.. hope you're havin' a lovely evening!
thank you! hpe you can find it. if not would it be ok for me to zoom in and use screen shots to draft a block pattern fr the photo? original patter is always preferable asit will have tips for ease of piecing etc...but if all else fails i think i can copy fr photo, with your permission. again thanks!....been making myself buy bright &, to my eyes, intollerables for use in projects for my little ones. my mind has already conjured images of bright happy wonky penguins dancing across a fabric landscape!
hi cindy..finally decided to come and ck out your page. have had some fun exchanges with you on your blog & elsewhere. and...(drum roll!!) went to your blog! what a cool idea! to make quilts for the cabs of sleepers! and that penguin quilt you are holding up (with ?daughter?) is adorable...my youngest gr baby loves penguins, and since gramma ham is trying to come up with project ideas for xmas...even tho dil says the girls don't need any more "blankets" ..i think that a penguin quilt would so perfect! can you tell me where you got the pattern?
anyway..hello, and so glad to meet you & that you are able to stay home and just quilt now...especially w your little helpers! sounds like so much fun..wish mine were closer..it would be reigning mayhem ...but fun mayhem lollollol
Oh wow Cindy... I love your sewing room. You have quite the set up girl.
I also love your quilt work...awesome. I'm glad you joined in on the group here. its been kind of quit lately...but I think once it warms up and everyone can get in the groove of things, it will be great.
as the bunnies hop out...rifle at hand for a wee bit a rabbit stew after all the hard work of cleaning done? :))
bet it feels good to see progress....almost done catching up with neglect of time. but all worth it - it will be so great to be able to go in and enjoy your space and create - or not lollol. sometimes i find it relaxing and rejuvenating to just go thru fabrics, patterns, idea notes and sorta reconnect with why i love this quilting thing. and have continued to love thru all these years.
and do post before and after pics. would love to see them. as i am sure, would others here at mqp!
