I am a retired school teacher of 30+ years. Have grandchildren and gr-grandchildren. Active in our church. Plus I am a genealogy buff and researcher. Co-authored a book about the gold rush era and its impact on the Native Americans of Northern California. But bascially just a Mom...
How many quilts have you made?
I think 8 big qullts and a number of baby quiits
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
I am a slow quilter, enjoy being with my quilting group and love seeing all kinds of quilts
How long have you been a quilter?
Since I retired and that is going on 10 years
What is your favorite quilting technique?
Learning new things, basically mine have been blockish type quilts, Recently ventured out and tried a LeMoyne Star on a table runner
Why do you quilt?
For fun, enjoy being with other quilters and learning

Cheryl, I went to the show in Sisters last year with a friend.  It was the first time there for me.  I have been to a few of the quilt shows near Corvallis.  I haven't been to any of the ones in Portland.  We moved to Oregon in 2005.

Cheryl I just read your profile and you may be a person that I need some time.

My grandfather was a full blooded Blackfoot Indian, the issue is that he had alias names. Now we think he may have been connected to the Mob from Wisconsin and Illinois. He was put in prison in the 40's (42 through 45) for cattle rustling. My mother remembers visiting him behind concrete walls and bars. We will have to exchange email addresses so I can message you more. I will message you my email address.
