I was listening to Pat Sloan radio and they recommened that you always prewash Batiks to get the wax out of the fabric, they suggested twice if using the front once if you are using the back side for all Batiks are reversable. Has any one else heard of this I have not prewashed and I don't know if I am missing something.

Happy Birthday, Carol. Hope your day is delightful...
Thank you, Carol.
Most of the quilts that I made are destined for a charity. I'm a long-time quilter and I have made and do make quilts for my family but they have enough at this point. QOV is the group I most like to belong. Our group covers a lot of territory and quite a few forces bases. Our quilts are distributed by the corps of chaplains. The forces participate in our quilt-ins. The forces photographers and the local T.V. publicize our meetings. And we always have a high-ranking officer speak to our group of quilters.
High schoolers who need to do so many hours of community service sometimes help cut our kits. And children of forces' members sometimes help as pressers. The thank you e-mails we receive are read out loud at our meetings. And need I say the munchies are always excellent!
Next meeting is April 27 and my friends and I will be there!
Carol I sent your strips to Carla as she is going to do the next several color groups while I am in surgery and recovering. I shipped them to Carla yesterday.
Sorry Carol I mean the White Batik is closed.
Go ahead and send in your white.
Carol, The black is closed out so go ahead and send in your Black Batik.
Hi Carol
The pattern for the red and white quilt I posted is Burgoyne Surrounded.
It's an old traditional pattern that I'd always loved and knew I'd never make for myself. When I was retiring from being guild president after 6 yrs. a friend suggested they make it for me. Bless her.

Carol thanks I received your red and yellow batik strips today!
I need to know if you are sending me strips or if you have dropped out. I have received a majority of them and am ready to return them. There are some great looking tone on tone blues. You will be very happy.
Thanks
Chef Lisa
Carol send 12 - 2 1/2" Blue Batik strips to Lisa Gorski 2011 SE 8th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33990 with a returned stamp envelope. I have received some so it should be a quick turn around.
