Profile Information

Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
I started making art quilts about 15 years ago. I currently work part-time at Tater Patch Quilts in Merrill Oregon. Now I'm making store samples, Quilts of Valor, quilts for Project Linius, and raffle quilts for non-profit organizations. I'm retired and busier than when I worked full time. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, quilting. I've finally found my 'niche' in life.
How many quilts have you made?
15-20
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
Both
How long have you been a quilter?
15 years
What is your favorite quilting technique?
Anything goes; whatever it takes to make colorful, happy quilts.
Why do you quilt?
Quilting to me is like meditation is to others. When I'm in my studio, music playing, and quilting, I'm totally present and absorbed.

Hello Candis, welcome to MQP. Hope you enjoy the site. There is a lot to see, much for inspiration, fun groups to join and friends to meet. Happy quilting.  I know exactly what you mean.  I quilt more now than ever and am a member of a nonprofit that makes quilts for children/teens at risk.  It is very rewarding.
